folks, i have a viking mulcher with a B&S 450 series motor model 0d902.
1 i cannot find any information and partslist thereof at the B&S web
2 when priming the red pumpknob it works only when the fueltank is completely full
3 when starting, the revs fluctuate from 1000 uptill 2000 hence and force
i think it is a fuel delivery problem but dont know how to cope

that model has the carb mounted to the fuel tank, with dip tubes going down into the fuel...
If the fine screens at the bottom of the tubes get clogged you could have this problem...
Carefully remove the tank, clean it out and clean up the ends of the tubes...
You could also try a fuel system cleaner added to the fuel... :smile:KennyV

i have cleaned the fuel line, but is does not help. meanwhile i see that the pump does not prime at a half full petroltank, so i think it is de primepump itself

There sould be a rectangular plate with probably like 5 or so bolts on it....take it off and under it is the fuel pump....buy a new one and replace it and it shoud run great
