hello!!
36" walk behind husqvarna.

It wont go! lol
Especially in grass. i have to motivate it. I push it a few feet then it kicks in but its so weak!
i had to loose the velke a few weeks ago because it wouldn't pull me, (i weigh 185 lbs.)
The dang thing just stops going forward. no reverse either.
Even more so when the blades are engaged. I HAVE TO PUSH IT up my trailer gate now! Once it gets going its ok in a straight line but if i try to turn either direction (which is inevitable) it just stops again. Im freaking killing my back pushing a walk behind! lol
i can barely turn left and turning right is out of the question.
How screwed am I?
The engine is running full throttle just no.. strength..
im sorry i dont know what else to say, please feel free to ask me anything that will help.
Thank you for your time.

HI myname79

Welcome aboard here think we will be see more of you later.Ok on to your mower problems a model number would all so help so someone with that model may have had this problem already and has the answer to your problem. Have you looked to see how the belts looks that drives the mower? And look and see if there is any oil in the gearbox case , is there a oil plug to check the oil in the gearbox? Should be on the top some ware , how tight is the belt tension when you engage it to move forward ,might just need adjusted. Do you have a manual for your mower, if not it should be on line at Hasqvarna website or do a Google search?:licking::licking::licking::rolleyes:

Is it a belt driven mower? I have a 36 inch walk behind belt driven mower and it was doing the same thing last year. I replaced the two belts on the sides that go to each wheel and the drive belt on the bottom. After that it worked great.

If it hydro make sure you have fluid and no air in system

oh wow thanks! THIS IS a good start id say! ill check all of those possibilities. i bought the mower used, last year during the winter to get in backyards. i probably put 20 hours on it up until recently. i have no manual but i will get on that today. well, i will try. my house is full of sick people, we all have the flu so things are kind of slow around here.
it is belt driven. one on each side and two belts underneath. all i know is it says husqvarna 3616 on the gas tank. i believe its a 04 model.
thank you guys for the tips, i will report back!

ok well sorry it took me so long to respond. busy season n all. then i saty here for an hour trying to find this thread lol.
the problem was simply drive belt tension like you guys/gals suggested. what a weight off my shoulders. 15 bucks out the door! i was so happy! and i want to thank everyone for their involvement!
