It doesn't seem like a year since the last one (which was also a palindrome) but there you go, time flies.

To all those who have served and are serving, you have our utmost respect and praise.

In Canada we call it Rememberance Day.:wink:

In the USA, it was originally called "Armistice Day" -- the day that fighting ceased in the Great War (WWI, the "War to End All Wars").

However in 1954, after WWII and the Korean War, the holiday was renamed "Veterans Day" to honor veterans of all wars.

I remember, as a child in the 1950s, that people had to get used to the name change.
