Ariens - Throttling up / deck engagement issue

I'm working on a 3 year old Ariens tractor style mower - built by Husqvarna - with a Kohler KT740 engine.

The mower has 22 hours on it.

When engaging the deck (electric clutch) at full throttle the engine will die most of the time (except if we pull the choke out about 1/8th of an inch one second after hitting the PTO switch), we also just found that revving the engine up from low idle to high idle very quickly will kill the engine, if you do it at a normal rate it revs up normally.

Here's what we've done:
- Pulled the spark plugs individually - when doing this, the deck will engage properly (engine wont die), so neither cylinder is weak.
- Cleaned all grounds, connections, battery terminals, and checked all safety switches for proper function.
- Checked governor operation - it puts the throttle plate at full open as it dies.
- Removed carb cleaned it and checked all jets.
- Checked fuel pump operation.
- Checked fuel shutoff solenoid for proper operation.
- Removed deck and checked for anything rough - it is like brand new, no brgs make any noise, and deck is spotless...

I can't figure out where else to go... it seems as if the engine is not getting enough fuel, for the mixture when the throttle plate goes to wide open, but there aren't any adjustments on the carb at all.

Please help!

Does it still have this problem after the engine is thoroughly warmed up?

Sounds like a lean running condition caused by a dirty jet or float level set too high. Here a service manual which may help you. http://www.kohlerengines.com/engines/onlinecatalog/pdf/32_690_03_ENA.pdf
