The specific fuel consumption for gasoline engines is around .4 pounds per horsepower per hour
So for a 20 horsepower engine, that works out to about 8 lbs/hr. Gasoline weighs about 6.1 lbs per gallon, so an engine putting out 20 hp would be burning about 1.25 gallons per hour.
