I purchased a used Honda mower which looks fairly new. It is Model No. HRX2172HMA; serial no. MAGA-1670553. Can you help me decipher this? Thank you.

Honda does not use a system embedded in their model and serial numbers to date their equipment. Your best bet is to contact your local Honda dealer and ask him to look it up. We used to have a Honda rep on this forum, but he was too good at his job and got promoted, so we lost a valuable and very helpful contact.
