Those pistons are designed & made to work in liquid refrigerant, not burn alcahol so it wount be long before it burns up
You could just about do the same thing with a hydro pump if you really wanted to.

True enough. But the mechanics of it is genius.

It is a style of crankcase charging that was experimented with in the 70's.
It is a very clever piece of engineering done by some one with no understanding of engineering materials.
As a novelty item quite good But being on You tube, others will copy it and that could lead to very serious injury should the unit go bang big time.

I'd think compressing refrigerant and handling the exploding a fuel air mixture would be quite a different duty for those little pistons and the driven comverted to drive mechanism. Interesting concept though.
