I'm changing the drive belt on this and can't remember how the spring "gearbox to baffle" goes back on. The way it looks tho is that it would rub with the gear box cable and I can't figure where it plugs in to. All I remember is that when I took the baffle off the spring was attached to the baffle. Any descriptive help or diagrams or photos would be appreciated. Thanks!
Manual Craftsman Mower 917370930 | SearsPartsDirect click on third manual down see page 17. If you're talking about item 55 on parts list it's a return spring, should attach close by, look for wear marks on parts that it may reach without stretching too much.
