I have just acquired this lawn tractor and the previous owner's son did some custom work on the engagement lever just below the steering wheel. The one he installed, almost hits the steering wheel when the belts are not engaged. I was wondering if anyone has a picture of the original setup under the dash so I can see how it originally was set up. The schematic is not clear and the way it is in there now is certainly wrong. The owner tossed this unit because he was tired of working on it. I'm not certain it's more a problem of who was working on it. Thanks for any photos or your valued expertise.
Do not, I would go to nearest sears, lowes, home depot, etc. and look at tractors with same engagement setup & take pictures, I don't think this setup has changed much over the years. MTD, Bolens, Troy Bilt, etc. most likely have same setup on some of their tractors.
