917.27082 Craftsman Hydro brake problem

Hey Guys
I have a weird brake problem on my 19.5 HP Turbo Cool 42" Hydro Craftsman tractor I just bought. When you set the parking brake / stop the tractor with the brake and then try to go forward again you cannot go, the hydro just whines. You have to go into shove it into reverse with a fair bit of throttle for the brake to release, then you can go forward. It reminds me of a car that you cannot get the emergency brake to release and you have to drive in reverse for it to let go. Any thoughts on this one? Let me know if you have any thoughts / if you need any more details. Thanks

The brake is not releasing . More common on cub cadets . Cub makes shops and owners upgrade braking pads/bands. Check all your linkage for binding .

Thanks, I'll give this a shot. I just got the tractor so I have not had a chance to take a real good look at it. I'll let you know what I find. Thanks
