Started working on my 1974 8232 today. The carb was full of old 'gunk' so I gave it a good cleaning and blowing out. The reeds were really clean, as was the crankcase behind the reed plate. I cleaned the tank and fuel line out. Got it all back together and after a few pulls the old 2 stroke spit & sputtered, and came back to life
. Then gas ran out of the carb because the needle and seat are bad, but I've got a new kit I can throw in it. Took the muffler off to check the exhaust ports and they were clean as a whistle, and the crank was dry meaning the seal is good. The self propel tranny works good. I think I've got a good find here.
