My yardman lawnmower has a 6.5hp briggs & stratton engine. The engine runs without the filter but dies as soon as I install it. I've replaced the filter with new one a month ago. It got so oiled up so quick just by starting (I haven't used the mower yet). I found out that my son overfilled the mower with oil. I removed the excess oil already. Before I replace the filter with a new one and attempt to run the engine, is there anything else I have to do or replace?
