N Nod Member Jun 23, 2018 #1 My son bought a used 5hp murray push mower. Has a 5hp briggs & stratton moter. It runs great when you mow on level ground. Will go dead on a hill. Has anybody had this problem before and or what did you do to fix it? Thanks

EngineMan Lawn Addict Jun 23, 2018 #2 Is the tank full with gas..... clean out the tank and then the carb, make sure you always have fuel going into the carb, then try.

N Nod Member Jun 23, 2018 #3 Tank is full, I will take the carb off tomorrow and clean it. He bought the mower last year and it has done that since then. Thank you.
