Charging lite is on, rev motor light gets brighter and go to engage the mower and it dies, same thing when I press the reverse pedal without mower engaged, it wants to die. Any help?

Well you are not charging, that is what the light is there to tell you.
Engine number, mower number etc ae needed if you want any more help
