I am having an issue with the left brake not releasing. I’ve sprayed the cable. Sometimes it’ll release then some time it doesn’t.
another issue I’m having is the spring for the drive belt tensioner broke and I can’t find one. Need a part number. Even looked on bad boys website and can’t find it
Any help would be greatly appreciated 🇺🇸🇺🇸

Did that and nothing came up
Use that cell phone and call bad boy mowers. I bet they have a toll free number.

The drive idler spring is PN 034-2009-00. It is locate on Actuator IPL page.

Bad Boy 034-2009-00 Spring - eBay

Also you may need a section 1/2-13 all thread with a hole drilled through one end and a couple 1/2-13 hex nuts. Bad Boy wants nearly $13 for this item. Lowes has a one foot for around $3.

Appreciate the feedback Startech
I just ordered the spring
You know anything about the brakes?
It’s not the brake cable because it engages fine. It’s just that when the brakes are released, sometimes the left will stick

Does that brake plate have its pull off spring? Item #22 It goes between items #10 and #20.

Also the cross over brake bracket #10 could be bent a little.

Appreciate the information
I’ll have to look and see when I get back home
I’m not seeing item #22 though I see the 10 & 20

I don’t see any springs. Tried to upload a picture but even after reducing it it says it’s to large

Mike, did your left drive seem to squeak, or chirp or whine when you tried to go forward? Mines doing that, and the left drive is weak.

Mike, if you haven't yet, disconnect both brake cables and try the cables for unrestricted motion and free play and then try the brake mechanisms for the same. Hopefully if any problem is found its the cable, not the drive.

BTW, the illustrated parts breakdown shown by Startech is what my mower has, but definitely not yours. Mine is a 2015 ZT elite 60". yours is much simpler (better).

I replaced the left brake cable and that fixed it.

Coming back in late but yes he had a different setup than the IPL I found using just the info provided. It is one of the reasons that I need the actual model, as we all need, to look-up the correct IPL.
