I climbed over something with deck and tore up the 2 straps on the front, under deck. How important are they? I could not find them on the deck assembly diagram...I have taken them off...can anyone help me..part number, or how important are they?....thanks

I'm not quite sure but it could be the deck weldment? I am again guessing that it creates better ground seal to help with the vacuum when bagging. You should go to The Mower Shop website and look up the 3461 Grasshopper deck, I am looking at item #1, could this be what was tore off?
It might be, they are like skid plates, under the front of the deck. I looked at the diagram for the 3461, and I thought #1 was the whole deck. Plus when I try to highlight the part, it will not let me...thanks for the responsell
Ended up calling Grasshopper, and found out it was AIR DAM KIT - 61" Part Number 503042
Attaches to Models 100V/61, 200V/61, M161, 9861 and 3461 Decks, that I needed...helps keeping clippings from blowing out the front of deck....
