1957 3100 need help

Hi I picked up a 57 3100 and have a couple questions
What spark plug to use? It currently has a Wizard 36 in it and I went to Napa and Autozone and neither could cross reference it. It has a C20 engine
I have a new coil coming which does not come with the wire attached are there any tricks to attaching or do you just push it in?
Also adjusting coil to flywheel gap any tricks since it sits inside I've always used a business card on the ones I have done

I know that on some replacement coils you simply push the plug wire into place and some others you twist it in. Sorry I can't help on the other questions because I have never worked on a Lawn Boy from the 50's. But, I must say, that mower looks like a good score. I know if given the chance, I would've taken it home.

Helps to give them a twist while pushing them in.
That is a great find....would love to have one sitting on my shelf.

Thanks 2Smoked and Unclelee that helps I wasn't sure if it needs some kind of adhesive I thought maybe silicone but the old one doesn't look like it had anything and it held up for who knows how long hopefully I can play around with it this weekend. It also has an air filter made out of aluminum foil that's pretty neat anyone know if there is a way to clean it I'd hate to replace it with a foam one?

I just take them out and hit them with some carb cleaner.
They clean up easily. Also they are still available if you look. I think I have a couple NOS filters like that.

I am not a Lawn Boy fan at all. But this one makes me want one. It is a beautiful machine. If truth be told I am not a push mower fan.

Thanks I'll give it a shot, hopefully will have the last of the parts I need to get it going next week.
I got the fuel tank and carburetor bowl cleaned up good. Just waiting on the plug wire now.
Still need to figure out what plug to use but I got the old one cleaned up pretty good and it should work for a while
