128rj trimmer carb

I took apart the carb on this unit to clean it up. A little piece fell out when I was turning the thing over after pulling out the throttle butterfly valve. I think it fell out of the port indicated by the red arrow that goes between the shafts of the choke and throttle butterfly valves. If so I'm not sure which way it get inserted tapered or square side to the choke shaft.

There is also the chance it came from the port indicated by the blue arrow which was cover by a mesh screen but I feel I would have noticed it when I removed the screen. If it's from here I'm also not sure which way is in.

Thanks for any help

Thanks, I searched for a breakdown but couldn't find one... also had to do a little recon to recover the spring.

and replace the O ring
IT has gone hard
The check valve is not supposed to fall out ever
In fact they are a right royal PIA to remove back in the days when they were replaceable

They are still replaceable. It just that most times the carburetor is badly worn too.

But here is the o-ring part number. For its size it is an expensive little part @2.48 USD each retail.
