Hello all! I have a 10HP TVM220 Tecumseh engine that is running an airplane tug at the local airport. It will idle fine but when you give it a little throttle the engine maxes out. Sometimes I can achieve a low engine speed above idle but it tends to increase itself. All of the carb and governor linkage is intact and in good condition. They appear to be connected properly from the information I have. I'm leaning towards a internal problem with the governor. It also has play in the governor shaft and leaks oil around it. Any thoughts on possible causes? Thanks!
