Repairs craftsman tiller 917299641

Okay I have seen some of the tiller problems listed such as wont go in gear, etc. Mine goes forward and reverse, but the tines wont turn. In the right position, they will move a fraction of an inch. Not running, if I turn them by hand, the "flywheel" turns with them but not when running. Worn out gears? Chain?

Do I just have to tear it down and see whats broke?

Go ahead and tear it down to see whats broke,prob. a worn gear and chain..I just looked on my web site and all parts are avil....
