Well, you guys in the actual mower forum have been extremely helpful. I am hoping you can help me with some info on this snowblower I just picked up.
Craftsman II 5/23" Model#536.886520 Code#9228 (all on the snow blower decal)
Tecumseh Engine - 5hp?
Electric Start - 120-volt starter is marked with a #33290C part#)then says for H35, HS40-50 Then the starter is stamped with a number 18145 onto the metal plate
There are no Decals on the engine. I'm pretty sure it's a horizontal shaft
On top of the engine where the push button start is stamped into the metal 143804072SER9188B
It has a 10" impeller
I am not familiar with Tecumseh engines at all. I'm just trying to figure out what model it is because it needs a throttle cable and a muffler, plus some miscellaneous fasteners.
I can post pictures if you need me to.
I talked to Craftsman first and they told me this unit was not made for Craftsman but made for Sears. After jumping through 213 hoops I finally spoke to someone at Sears that could tell me the Manufacture Date is in sometime in 1999. Other than that, nothing else.
The machine runs great other than the throttle cable being broke and the muffler needing attention.
Any and all information you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Link to an Owner's Manual may be asking too much.
Let me know if you need anything else. Thank you in advance!
