toro zturn timme cutter 50

I was riding my toro z toro and it just turn off than wouldn't crank selornord clicks now and wire are starting to melt when I try to crank tested and selornord it running volt it seem to be good im thinking to the started but really know was also told change wire harness can I get helpl I also use a test n it low by the stated all ground seems tight

I am not the electrical guy on this site but Ill get you started and he can chime in when he is on. Before going out and buying parts lets check a few things. Turn ignition switch to run position and disengage PTO if you have not already done so. Will engine turn over? If not remove sparkplugs and try to turn over by hand. If it will turn over use jumper cables to test starter. Black to ground and red to starter. If it passes let us know and we can go from there. Also we will need make and model # off engine.
