Has anyone worked with the 6 valve engines? If so what problems have you seen with them.

Guessing that since no one has replied that I am the only one that has seen one and worked on one as well.

Me neither , but next time I talk to Joe Guidry I will ask him about it...... I am sure he went or will go to a freshen up course for them.... He has the Scag dealership not far from me.....

I did look it up and looks like beast........ 3 valves per cyl. Here is the link to that monster..

If I would buy a mower that big I will choose a 3 cyl. Diesel engine.........

Just my opinion though..........

For sure a beast but it chatters a lot after some hours is put on. I don't like the way they made the valves arm stem just to be put in by a pin it Moves a lot and I think that is where the noise comes from.

It often comes down to $$.
I have a 72" Hustler Super Z with 35 HP Kawsaki.
I considered diesel but it was thousands more.
