New to site. Just joined today, I like finding the old mowers and bring them back to life. Currently working on 28 inch snapper rer with 11 hp briggs . Having trouble finding out what year it is. Thank you all I have found all sorts of info here.

If the engine has not been swapped out use the code number on the engine. It is the third set of numbers in the model number. The first two digits of the code will tell you the year the engine was built.

Hi Robby and Welcome to LMF! I've worked on a few Snappers over the years.
Had a widow down the way from me that kept having trouble with her Snapper
mower. I'd go down and fix it only to have it tear up the next week. Come to
find out it was SHE who was turning the mixture screw just to have me come
down to visit her! Sabotage! LOL :confused2:
