solenoid part number 145673 and Key Switch part number 163968 are the only parts that could be causing problems. The model number you gave me for the engine is not a complete number. There are over 100 engines that start with the model number you gave me. How do you know you are buying the correct starter? Not saying you aren't just wondering where you got the part number to order.

I would change the solenoid for sure. The switch is cheep and as long as you have a spare $13.00 I would change it too. Ok got to this page and find me your motor. In the search for your exact motor I found all of this. Tecumseh OHV130 Exploded Parts Lookup by Model
