I picked up an old MTD mower. Model #110436r045/e100c4. I took off the fuel bowl and the bolt that held it in was not a jet just a bolt. Is this right? Thanks!

It has to have a main jet. A bolt with holes in it on the inside. They are now non adjustable per EPA. It will NOT run with just a bolt in it.

the jet may be in the stem that hangs down inside the bowl and may have a bolt to hold the bowl on

I was wondering. I haven't torn into this carb yet but it is older and I have just never seen this setup before and I didn't think the guy I got it from had messed with it after it stopped running :)
