Trying to decide on Buying the Husqvarna YTH22V46 or the John Deere D125 to replace a 2008 Toro timecutterZ with a blown Kohler Courage 21hp. Any insights would be welcomed. I have about 2 acres I mow weekly which is pretty rough terrain, the ZTR could not handle that and a 16 year old driving it like he stole it!

I don't think a tractor mower will handle it any better if it is abused. However, have you looked at the new craftsman line. Advertises to have a shorter turn radius and 7.5 mph mowing speed. If you are looking at a budget under 2000 and those are the two brands you are set on then I would prefer the husqvarna. It has a slightly larger deck and the specs otherwise are similar. I would also recommend the 3 yr warranty. The time cutter lasted 6 years. That's not bad for a residential mower that has been abused. You can also expect to increase your mower time by going from a ztr to a tractor.
