I hav a hustler z, with Honda 24hp motor an am lookin for a little help. Mower starts, runs, drives fine but when u go to start it it'll click sometimes like solenoid is bad. Here's what I've done new battery, pulled starter an had checked, checked out fine, checked ground at battery and frame. Any help would be appreciated matt.

Does the solenoid click rapidly, or just once?

Rapid clicking indicates a bad/loose connection, a single click, the solenoid itself could be going bad. The solenoid is just an
electromagnet that when engaged, pulls a metal contact down to connect the battery to the starter, and cranking...

But if those contacts get old and burned, it could cause voltage to not pass the contacts everytime. A test light or voltmeter would confirm this pretty quick.
