I have a B&S / 650 series engine On a Poulan pro self propelled mower. If there is a primer bulb on this engine, does it replace the thermostat choke?

Greetings from Vermont, Just purchased a Stihl Fs56 and found out that Stihl called back all of their Poly finger type trimmer heads applicable to this model. Any suggestions for another after market alternative that will fit a FS56 ? I think the thread is M10.
