I have another mower that runs great. This was a side project as it was free. I wish I could swap the engine into my John Deere l111 as it's a way more powerful engine

so im curious if it is worth the money. it was kept up with but from what i found the rebuild kit is also 400+ dollars. also is there anything else i should look at, if it was a bad pump would going in reverse than forward cause it to run ok for a lil while?

I looked up the model and it's a k66 trans. So from I was told they had done a oil change on the transacle. Its just weird that going into reverse than forward it's fine for awhile. So idk I was already thinking of a rebuild when they told me about it

So here is the issue. The engine is strong but after it is going forward awhile it starts to move slowly this was donated to me by my church as they couldn't figure it out so I'm hoping to get it fixed. Any thoughts on to wear to begin at are appreciated. I also know it has a Kohler engine.

Nm I had a duh moment. I didn't research enough and the second is just a drain plug. So ignore that as I thought it was a adjustment for fuel.

The pump seems to be working from what I have seen. Going to test it with the gun on tomorrow as it was missing the adapter to attach the gun to the hose.

The brass one and also the one on the bowl is also a mixture I believe. The angled one not the one straight down.

Ty for the help. So it was the bolt that holds the pulley bracket on to the deck.. Turns out it was stripped on the bracket itself so I just added a lock nut underneath it so I'm hoping it holds ok. I mowed the entire lawn with no issues. Fingers crossed :)

So went to mow the lawn and midway the tensioner pulley was off. Does anyone know the size of the nut? Dont want to go to ace and buy a bunch of nuts if i can avoid it. Also wondering how it came loose. Not sure if it is supposed to be a locking nut or just a standard nut.

But unfortunately after mowing the grass the belt ended up breaking. So after looking on Amazon the belts they have listed have all been the same complaints...

Ok so cancel that part. So I jumped the solenoid and it turned over. So I have more testing to do. Either the solenoid is bad or safety switch.

I meant the washer upside down. But I put new washer on and it still is coming loose. I took apart the spindle and it all seems ok. But when I tighten the blade it stops it from spinning. Maybe it's a bad spindle still. I'm not sure at this point.

Yeah I held the blade and I order a new Belleville washer as this one was warped out and didn't sit level.
