OK, thanks. Might just tear it apart when it finally stops working and check the seals.

BG56C ignition coil specs for OHMS

I did remove the air filter, but not the screen from the muffler. Will try that. BTW the OHMS were the secondary Coil resistance numbers. Not an expert on that by any means, just from watching a video.

BG56C ignition coil specs for OHMS

Got a 3 year old blower that is now taking forever to get started, but runs after starting, so I changed fuel filter and spark plug. Still cannot get a spark on plug(using probably a crappy simple method), but if I take 10 or so pulls on the rope, it starts, so I tested the ignition coil after...

Oil bubbling out dipstick holder with pressure -15.5 OHV BS

Thanks for all the suggestions. Rookie here and this mower is 26 years old. I will have to learn how to check piston wear and how to do leak down tests. There seems to be an inordinate amount of oil coming out of the valve cover when I remove it. After all those years, it probably needs a new...

Did not really check the piston rings(was not blowing out any smoke when I started it), don't know how to see if the breather is bad(I did remove it to look at it), I replaced the head gasket and the old one did not have any signs of blowout especially on the valve cover side, but the oil is...

Oil bubbling out dipstick holder with pressure -15.5 OHV BS

I replaced a connector rod and I think I got everything back where it belongs. Now when I start it up, the oil heats quickly and of course gets real frothy and tries to come up through the dipstick. I drained some oil(not really needing to according to the level), and put on a new head gasket...

Briggs engine won't fire after new piston rings on Craftsman mower---15.5HP

OHV Engine # 28N707 Type 0173-01. Was smoking terribly, almost to the point of not running, so I replaced the piston rings, properly I think. I inspected all moving parts, OK. I put on new gaskets also. Now, when I put it back together, I get spark, but no firing in cylinder. I have gas on...
