Carburetor for BS 19G412-1129-E1 10 hp

I've had no real luck finding another carburetor, at least not for a seemingly reasonable price. I needed to remove the carburetor I have because of a stuck float needle. It was overfilling the bowl and leaking really bad. I took it apart and gave it a good cleaning and then thoroughly blowing...

Carburetor for BS 19G412-1129-E1 10 hp

I'll add that carb to my searches. I was thinking there had to be other carbs that would work. It's just like there are a lot of carb options for a Chevy small block.

Carburetor for BS 19G412-1129-E1 10 hp

I saw that carb in my searches but I found a 690115 for about $25 less with shipping. I'm waiting for photos. I'm also cross referencing some other numbers.

Carburetor for BS 19G412-1129-E1 10 hp

I think I may have found a cross reference for the carb. It looks like it's an LMT 203 WALBRO 5-4993 Carburetor. Those look like they are still available.

It seems the shafts are fine on mine but I can't fully open the choke without running issues.

Carburetor for BS 19G412-1129-E1 10 hp

Yes, I gathered that by the Google searches yielding descriptions with "out of stock". Even eBay searches rarely yield any useful results. This is a great generator that's been crippled by bad carb. There's a lot of BS carbs that look the same but I bet the jetting might not be compatible.

Carburetor for BS 19G412-1129-E1 10 hp

I've been looking for a new carburetor for my BS powered generator. Does anyone sell NOS carbs? All the ones I seem to find are chinese knock offs of dubious quality. The model number of the original carb is 690115 which superseded 690111. I wonder if any other BS carbs will work. A couple OEM's...

Trying to find a belt keeper / guide that appears to be obsolete.

I installed the keeper while I replaced the drive belt. The only practical way to replace the belt is remove the mower deck and raise the tractor completely vertical. It's otherwise a very tedious job to do from underneath.

Recommendation to Buy Self Propelled Gas Mower for St. Augustine Grass

From what I know, a reel type mower is best for St. Augustine. Also you need to make sure you don't cut it too short. My dad had a McLane reel mower and it was excellent. Unfortunately they would be way above your price range unless you find a good used one.

Trying to find a belt keeper / guide that appears to be obsolete.

I've been waiting for the part for about two months and heard nothing. I wrote to them and they wrote back it wouldn't be until November before they could get one. I just found a used one on eBay. I bought it. I can't really run the tractor without it. I ruined the drive belt without it and...

    Craftsman riding mover frame broken

The angle iron would have been the ideal repair but it would have been more difficult to find the size I needed. I wanted to do it on the cheap. The two pieces of steel I used look like it's still holding up fine. Sure it would have been even better welding them but there isn't too much stress...

Trying to find a belt keeper / guide that appears to be obsolete.

I decided to try one of the search results without a photo of the part. I carefully cross referenced the descriptions along with any common part numbers. I ordered from Mowpart, com. I've never done business with them before. Maybe somebody here has?

Trying to find a belt keeper / guide that appears to be obsolete.

So I have a slight dilemma. Ever since this part broke I've been having issues with the drive belt failing early. This drive belt is the most difficult belt to replace. The guide keeps a long section of the belt from flopping around. I can't find the old guide. It probably got shot off into the...

    Craftsman riding mover frame broken

Here we are nearly four years later and the repair is holding up well. I never got around to welding the plates. The welder I have is just a POS arc welder little more than a big battery charger.

Would you buy the same mower again?

My Craftsman 50" riding is almost 25 years old is and still working good. I've fixed a lot of things, including a broken frame. Most people would have probably junked it long time ago. No I would not buy another one, even if they still made the same tractor, I'm sure the ones they still sell are...

    Craftsman riding mover frame broken

I managed to fix the frame. I got four pieces of 3"X7" pieces of 1/4" steel plates. I drilled 6 holes into each piece and did the same on each frame rail. I jacked the frame level to close up the cracks and bolted the plates sandwiching the frames. It's holding together really well. It cost me...

    Craftsman riding mover frame broken

The frame on my '96 Craftsman 50" riding mower had cracks develop in the frame several years ago. They are about midway between where the engine mounts on both frame rails. They started as small hairline cracks and grew slowly over time. I hadn't looked at them for over a year but I after...

Bad short in electrical system CV25S

I thought I had a bad battery so I bought a new battery. I nearly cooked it. It started OK but quit after a few seconds of running. The voltage dropped quickly and the battery started smoking. Both cables were super hot. There's something shorting out. Where to start checking? I've never had...
