    Ignition problem

Good explanation, Bert. Reminds me of my high school days when half of us kept screwdrivers in our old 60's and 70's cars and trucks so we could start 'em up when we had electrical issues.

Reverse Problem with my new Gravely

I looked at this manual. https://apache.ariens.com/manuals/04276200A_ENG.pdf Since I didn't have your serial number and Gravely model numbers vary with engine choice, I can't be sure this is the correct manual. This one may be for a different year model and they could have changed some...

Reverse Problem with my new Gravely

The manual says you have adjustments. The dealer should be able to get you a little more action on that right side pump. Even if if it's a frame issue, him telling you there is no adjustment is incorrect. There are jam bolts on the front and back of the lever that allow you to change the...

Reverse Problem with my new Gravely

I have a friend who's son has a small lawn care business in Toronto. Yards are small in his neighborhood so they got a 2018 or 2019 model Compact Pro 34 after me telling them how much I liked my HD 52. They have nothing but praise for their machine. It makes me wonder if the design was...

Gravely ZT52 HD - Changing hydraulic fluid

I did my ZT HD 52 hydros yesterday. Other than the 1,000 degree temperature, 3000% humidity, and no air movement in the garage, it was no trouble to do. The top plug comes out with an 11/16". The filters are small enough that standard size Channel Locks will grip them enough to remove them...

Gravely ZT52 HD - Changing hydraulic fluid

I just bought a pair of overpriced Hydro Gear 52114 filters for my HD 52. Made in China. Next time it's Wix for me unless I find something over the next 400 hours that changes my mind. I know Wix has a plant in China, but they also have multiple plants in North Carolina, South Carolina, and...

    Innovative Attachments

I'm going to have to put pontoons on my Gravely to mow the spring growth. I've also been thinking about growing rice in my front yard. Yep. I've got a lot of free time right now and it's raining every day.

    HD ZT transaxle

My son put kerosene in his grandfather's mower once. He was old school and kept gasoline and kerosene in old (from the 60's or early 70's) steel Havoline/Texaco oil cans, the same ones I filled with when I was growing up. The 15 horse Briggs ran pretty decent until it got enough load on it...

    HD ZT transaxle

It's just a little 1/8" or so additional pull after you get to that notch so it's easy to miss it, especially if you've got stuck and buried it up to the levers. ?

Gravely 42" ZT XL 38hrs, buying used

And tire pressure is critical for the adjustment. Just a couple pounds makes a difference at the low pressures they run on.

    ZT HD 52 Lubrication

I have yet to find a grease fitting (zerke) on the HD. Am I missing something? Manual just says to lubricate and doesn't have specific locations. I put a few drops of oil in the pivot points on the steering and deck lift, but that's it.
