Okay - I just answered my own question. But, for those who happen to do the same as I did a picture is attached for future review.

Good morning Folks. I own a Scotts with a 16hp Kohler Command. I removed the Speed Control Bracket not realizing there is a spring behind the bracket. Totally confused as to how it connects. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you. Larry
