    MTD tiller slipping out of gear

    I have an MTD model 422 rear tine tiller (1997 I think). The gear selector slips from tilling to forward drive after a few seconds of tilling. I have replaced the shifter fork and the clutch collar. I can feel the collar settle into the detent on the drive shaft but it just feels like it's not...
