    Oil filter

Now you've gone and done it..... some years ago, I was passing by a Monroe Muffler shop it dawned on me my oil was overdue on the 2-year-old Jeep I was driving, and since their lot was almost empty I "thought" I could get in and out quick. Well, I got in immediately; but, 45 minutes later my...

    Oil filter

interestingly, my JD x585 has a drip tray that the engineers designed to catch the bit of oil that spills out when replacing the filter. It's also nice hold JD has a flexible drain tube, so you can direct the oil flow into a container, and not all over the machine or floor. If they can do it...

    Switching to longer blades?

I only posted those to show that the blades cut minute clippings and didn't leave rows of mulch or strips of high grass. The grass was still very damp, and the wind was almost blowing me off the machine. The cut is consistently level and even, and this whole area is our leach field, so I don't...

Soft or Pneumatic tires for a lawn boy 10550?

    Switching to longer blades?

I've used Oregon G6's on a Gravely XL2148ZT, JD 345, JD 585, and now my Ferris IS2600 and never had a bad cutting or build up under the deck. That includes cutting 12"+ deep wet stuff . . . . .
