The issue is the spring return. I have the return spring and whatever else goes with it but no one seems to want to touch it. They generally repair other brands and the Lawnboy has a unique starter mechanism. Thank you for the comment. I will keep looking. Jim Hall

My 1972 or so, Lawnboy 2 stroke has the starter rope messed up. I have the parts to repair it but don't have knowledge in this area. Looking for a shop or person in Seattle/Tacoma/Lakewood area that might be able to repair this issue.
