Here is an update. It appears when you put it in forward or reverse the drive belt is not being tensioned. I can use the belt on the oully stvgge transmission to move the mower forward or reverse. I can pull the belt on the front and the front pully wont move even if I try to turn it by hand...

Thanks I'll try to turn it. One other think I noticed, when I depress the brake the lock handle shoots out as the pedal goes down. Don't remember it doing that.

One thing I see that I think is different the when I apply the brake the lock stick for the brake thrust outward towards the back of the mower. I Dont remember it doing that. This is my eldetly unckle’s mower so just not familiar with it!

I have had a rake for 33 years with my snapper. There is a weight kit for the front of the snapper to solve the problem with light wheels. I also use the dethatcher with weights as well. You will need to replace the rubber blower in the rake at about 20 years.
