Thank you. I appreciate all the help I can get. So many times I find myself saying "oh why did I have to be a girl?" Seems guys are practically born knowing how to do mechanical stuff! But I'm learning, better late than never!

I'm sorry I thought I stated it's a 38in Ryobi electric rider, but I did post in 2 threads so I probably missed it. 52 to 54 sounds HUGE! Though I do think the 38 inch is a bit too puny for the job. Apparently I am too puny for the mower please see my other post in 'other brands'

    Ryobi saga solved?

I'm not sure. But my next door neighbor came over to look at it. He couldn't see any glaring issue, so he took it for a spin. Well to my utter embarrassment it didn't stall even once. I got on and within 50 ft I stalled out. Neighbor was laughing said I bounced around so much my ass barely...

    Ryobi riding mower stalling?

I did try to return it since I'd had it such a short time. But apparently I was past the "give back" date or whatever they called it. Said I needed to call Ryobi repair and gave me phone number. I sent a scathing email to the CEO of Home Depot and a neighbor came over and had a look at the...

I believe you are so right. I have very rough terrain thanks to my pal, the mole, and it does stall out more when I'm hitting all the bumps/holes. I thought I'd really done my research. I thought even though it was expensive it would do the job and last awhile. Wrong on both counts, but I really...

    Ryobi riding mower stalling?

I will certainly look today for that model number. Thankfully I do know how to use a screwdriver! Not much else, but I watch YouTube videos!? When it stalls I'm sure it's trying to throw, but the grass is somewhat long and thick that's why I thought perhaps getting the nearly $400 bagging unit...

In fact when it comes to all this equipment I'm pretty clueless. But just bought my first house that's on 2 acres, so figured I better start learning as much as possible! No favorite brands as yet but I'm QUICKLY NOT becoming a Ryobi fan- the problems are how I found this forum So, hi everybody!

    Ryobi riding mower stalling?

I just got this mower 3 weeks ago. Stalls out every few feet when mowing. Granted grass is high and thick after waiting so long for mower, but even on highest setting it won't stay running. Then yesterday I mowed a few feet and since problem was same I turned off blades and headed back to...
