Thanks for the info! It was the neutral adjustment with the yoke for the transaxle linkage. All set. Anyone with similar problem, it was in the service manual 5-25.

Thanks StarTech. The engagement arms are worn a little bit but still seem to lock in well. the mower is definitely still trying to move in Neutral. Is there a link for the 4200 neutral adjustment? I'll check that first.
