Every fall, I pull off the blades, clean the underside and spray it with rubberized undercoating. I also spray the undercoating on any spot that appears to have developed surface rust. Seems to work just fine.

You should have the manual the it came with. If, not, find one online. Mine shows all the parts and where they are located, however yours is 15 years old.

Same here. Most if not all auto parts stores recycle oil at no charge.

I can't imagine why a superior product would be discouraged. I have used full synthetic in my mower (and car) since the first change. Walmart sells synthetic at a great price and it is highly rated.

Did you check eBay or Amazon? Bay Boy manual shows part number for all parts and I just put the part number in the search. Lots cheaper than the dealer.

I found exactly the same thing last year with my Bad Boy. It says full so it was fine with me. No issues over the mowing season.

Yes, sounds like a choke. If it was working before, you may want to spray with WD40 or something like that first to see it it is just stuck. I would try that first before adjusting.

I see Castrol HD 30 Monograde Conventional Motor Oil at Walmart online. Its expensive though at $19 QT. Ebay has better prices for it though and free shipping.

I would first try to see if the brake switch is sticky by spraying with WD40, or something similar, then pushing the switch with your finger a few times. If that didn't help, I would check the switch with a multi meter. To check the switch, you would need to follow the wires or find a schematic...
