I have a chance to pick up an almost new Toro 30" Turfmaster at a fair price. I'm thinking I might just use it in place of my 21. I love my 21 but if I can cut 9 more inches per pass and still have maneuverability it seems like the way to go. I don't expect it to be as maneuverable as my 30"...

Like Permatex high temp RTV. Just curious. I wouldn't trust it on a car but the mating surfaces its going to be used on are flat. Seems like it would work fine. There isn't a lot of pressure there. I think I'll try it and order some gaskets in case of seepage.

I have an exmark 21 with a Honda 5.5 engine. I've owned severeal Hondas with engine from 5hp to 7hp. The exmark cuts rings around the Hondas. It cuts through grass that would bog the Hondas. Any thoughts on why? Seems odd to me since it's just a 5.5 engine.

I know its a tough question and there's lots of variables but I've never bid a commercial job so anything may help. I work alone and the BOP Quick 36 is my biggest mower. I don't know if you can get a good perspective on this from google map pics.

Can't get that belt off :confused2: It's easy to get it off the drive pulley and the idler pulley. I'm not seeing how it comes off the transmission pulley... what the manual calls the driven pulley.
