    Tires

Yea I'm not sure what they mean by two different turf tires. Maybe call them or do a little more checking for spec's and see what the difference is.

    Tires

Bar tires typically costs more than turfs. And I believe the bar tires recommended are 21-8x 8 versus 20-8x 8.. So a bit higher.. At least on mine they are...

    Eliminating Grass Clumps

I think Tom3 is right about the discharge chute pointing down too much. I know it's against safety police law but I never run any of the extended or flip up clutes on any mower I have for that reason. "(and makes the deck wider than it has to be.) "

    Eliminating Grass Clumps

I honestly think 2 1/2" is still to low. Especially with a 72" deck. I may be the only one but I mow at 4"-4 1/2" ..? And never clump.. Not sure if mulching will be any better if your grass is real thick.

Grasshopper 722d PTO Clutch acting weird

Sounds as though you need a new plug at your electric clutch to start with if you say they're melted or burnt. My PTO switch is probably the same as yours and I replaced mine once already. Very possible your electric clutch is bad or going bad and would explain your wires being burnt. Again I'd...

Testing Spark Plugs Using An Ohmmeter

I never ever ever put a ohm meter on a plug for checking condition of a plug. His video talked a lot about resistive spark plugs that's all well and good. But if it's just a cheapo mower plug there isn't much to check. I always looked at the condition of the spark and went from there...

    Blade cutting edge.

Not sure what the manufacturers thinking is but I'm sure they make what's best for their particular mower ...They wouldn't put a so-so blade on if they know there's something even better to make their mower work better... On a side note I went from Gator g3 blades which has about a 3" cutting...

New member, similar dilemma. First large cost ZTR purchase

With a 15k budget the choices are many. A good new 48" -54" machine should be much less than that . Keep in mind a 48-52-54_60" decks are going to wider than advertised because of the chute overhang. Your bank shown in the picture shouldn't be anything a ZT can't handle. Might be a little...

Going from tractor to ZT and have one issue I cant decide on. help!

I honestly" wouldn't" be afraid doing it. Does it make the hydro's work harder.?? To some degree I'm sure. But for the little you say you're going to be it I wouldn't worry to much.. Ask the dealer you buy it from what they think. Though I think I know what keeping the warranty in mind.

Hour meter not working on Tiger Cub

Hour meter not working on Tiger Cub

Highly doubt you can reset them. Do you have 12v to it with the key on or it is running. If you have voltage the meter is probably bad. Maybe it disconnected..?

How to remove fluid reservoir from 1994 Grasshopper 725?

That sucks. I'm sure the tank could be repaired by the right shop. Not sure how available a new tank would be which I believe is the route they'd want to go. Post back if you will and let us know how you make out.. Good luck..

How to remove fluid reservoir from 1994 Grasshopper 725?

I hate to ruin your day but believe you have to pull the motor out. My Woods 6210 is almost identical to yours and I took a look and it doesn't look like any other way. Bar from cutting the crossbar out and that's welded in now and bringing it out the top. Not sure if that's the way to go.. I...

Is it safe to have an additional hole drilled in the flywheel?

Pullers work great but I still always give them a tap on the end of the puller after you have tension on it with a brass or lead hammer. Rarely do I rely on the puller by itself.

1999 Grasshopper 725 - How do I remove the deck lift switch from control arm?

Battery goes dead after one week of storage between cuts

If this battery is much more than a year or two old it could very well be the battery. Have it check.... I know people get 2-4-6-8 years out of some BUT some only last 6 months. There a reason most only put a 30-90 day warranty on them.

    Roper 38" Deck Chute

Not sure if they were fixed or flip up. You may end up making something. Most chutes were probably taken off long ago and thrown out. 725D Mower deck is stuck and makes clicking sound

Yea I'd disconnect the linkage from the actuator and see what happens. Still won't prove the gears aren't totally stripped.
