I think you'll happier with that combo. Just beware that some of bearings they use aren't worth much. I had some cheapy ones similar from NH and bearings failed in one summer.

I do a bit on the side and know a typical tune up kits can easily run $50 alone. So $2-$3 hundred range isn't out of hand. The days of the $50 service jobs are long gone..

Were these blades the same exact blade you had been using.? I know some don't do as well as they are advertised to do..and they may on a given deck.. They (some) give them some funky name and design and claim to be the end of all blades.

I have a crankshaft straighter too. They work very good. Uses a dial indicator and you get them perfect to within a few thousands. Haven't used in years as most all newer engines have very short cranks and rarely bend. And you do them right in the motor without anything apart other than taking...

That suspension works great for me. There's a couple "buts" There's only 1" of travel which works for me (170#). But I'm thinking for someone 250# or better it may bottom out more. IDK. The spring rate is adjustable though so it may be just fine.

Make sure you dump the old oil and put new oil back in. 6-8 oz of gas mixed in with the oil will not be good. Or any gas for that matter..

By taking the plug out a couple of times and pulling it over and checking oil level should take the hyrolock out of the equation.

I wouldn't be too afraid of breaking bolts. As long as you're using 2 or more 3/8" bolts per side. Maybe even 1/2" . " If making some kind of support in front should be plenty". You tractor is only so big so you may find a weak link somewhere else..

I'm thinking I'd go with a support in front too. Might not be to hard to do if you're going to pull it front some more away from the muffler..
