You say it also leaks oil when the engine IS NOT RUNNING. If so this should be easier to locate the leak. Might could use a dye in the oil to locate the leak. Use about 1/4 oz of motor oil dye. You can review such on-line.

AND hang onto your OEM Walbro carb. The are easy to re-build and usually result in a better carb than the replacements. Rebuild it as a spare in your spare time.

You might think about: Instead of hosing off a deck for debris removal try using air pressure or a leaf blower. Reduces the amount of rusting.

You can also use a IR thermometer and get instant readings at different place on the block. They are priced reasonable now days. Let the engine set and run at fast rpms for awhile and monitor temp.

Just a hint of what can happen sometimes. Main thing is the pulse hose needs to go up as it leaves the pulse port on the engine then the pump can be lower. Sometimes only a slight amount upward is needed. A immediate droop is not a good thing. Sometimes just takes a longer pulse hose to get er...

I route the pulse hose upwards before going to the pump barb. If oil eventually collects inside the hose the pump will quit pumping gas.
