Those "look" sturdy, but still have same tiny 0-ring inside that leaks. No thanks.

If it did NOT have that backfire when in-laws had it. Valves didn't need adjusted from just sitting. IMO.

Yes time will tell on that. But doesn't sound like you will have to cut anything on the drain.. Never saw a straight oil drain like you describe ? I have a Scag Liberty, & I just use my impact gun on blade bolts. I don't have to hold them, just catch it as I gun out each bolt. Same for install.

Twice may not be enough, if fluid is at full, I would do the purge again, with wheels off the ground. I did my HG 2800's @ 50 hours in October & swapped to Full synthetic 20-50. Very quiet. But not totally silent. But much quieter than when I got it New.. I would suggest checking oil levels...

I use my 3 ton floor jack & then add a jack stand for extra safety.

Pipe wrench with teeth.. Then replace that one.

Start in on it with yer string trimmer.. Then clean up with the push mow.

Do a "leak down" test to determine if the leak is from the rings or the valves up the guides Local Auto Parts store has them, & most do tool loaner program. Just have to leave a refundable deposit.

How often have you removed the blower housing to make sure the engine cylinder fins are clean ? Cause an overheating issue could possibly cause this.

I test my 100% gas from my same gas station once once or twice a year. Just for my peace of mind.. It's extremely simple to test it.

This is my second Z with a FR651V, & I always start mine with low speed throttle position. & maybe 3/4 choke for a mili second. Actually I use one hand for the key, & other on choke knob. Second it fires get the choke off Fully.. Mine starts instantly. And I let it run slow for a few...

That's what the owners manual is for. And Armor-all has petroleum distillates in it & that actually dries out rubber.. I use a water based oil dressing.
