    Briggs 5hp with no blade

I am surprised it will start without the blade, it probably tried to rip the handle out of your fingers. Drilling out the jet will just make a bad situation worse.

    11 hp Briggs&Straton motor off a generator

Go easy with that startihng fluid, it will destroy aluminum cylinder walls. Obviously the carb is still plugged somewhere but we need the engine model and type to make an informed diagnosis. Not your question but a generator engine is not the best choice for your application. You will either...

    Corrosion from Calcium Loaded Tires

I once worked at a farm equipment dealership, hated pumping out tractor tires so flats could be repaired then refilling them. The nasty stuff ruined coveralls and sure got my attention in burns or cuts. A lot of farmers now use beet juice. I doubt foam will give you the weight you need.

    Sirometer-vibra tach

I have checked it against a Stihl electronic tach and it is certainly close enough for my purposes. Nothing to go wrong as long as it is not dropped or stepped on.

I have one that has seen a lot of use. What is your question?

    Convert to float type carb?

What is happening that you need to replace carbs? They generally don't give a lot of problems and are easy to service.
