The shape of the part that actually crimps (on yours) is the same shape as mine. Maybe it's just the picture and my eyes, but I don't see any indented place on the "properly crimped" connector.

It's better to flatten out the connector (using what ever), than to leave it crimped but still in a round shape, right?

Well, I'm just not impressed with the crimpers. Using the connectors that came with it, the first two didn't crimp worth a hoot. Even using the smallest crimp size I ended up using my hammer. I think I'll try putting a nail between the connector and the crimper next time. (using that size)

Donny addresses some really good points that some of us have to deal with. Getting stuck with equipment, and not even getting paid for the diagnosis. After getting burned a few times, and left with junk, I started taking upfront money on all new customers. And a few shady repeat customers.

And there were no aftermarket parts available due to patent rights. OEM's were on backorder. It'll take 4 weeks for a new one to arrive. :p

You're lucky. Because replacing the cam is a major teardown.

Those multiple problems with one issue can turn into a real headache. Test something fails, fix that and the test still fails because it wasn't just the one thing you fixed. All that head scratching leads to a bald spot.
