I generally don't get this lucky. Note my pessimism.. :);) I'm a firm believer in "If it's too good to be true, then it probably is."

The shape of the part that actually crimps (on yours) is the same shape as mine. Maybe it's just the picture and my eyes, but I don't see any indented place on the "properly crimped" connector.

It's better to flatten out the connector (using what ever), than to leave it crimped but still in a round shape, right?

Well, I'm just not impressed with the crimpers. Using the connectors that came with it, the first two didn't crimp worth a hoot. Even using the smallest crimp size I ended up using my hammer. I think I'll try putting a nail between the connector and the crimper next time. (using that size)

My back yard slopes to the middle from 3 directions. The middle of those slopes, it slopes slightly to the south. It should drain the back yard. But on the edge of the south side, there's a hump, that won't allow the back yard water to drain. I'm trying to decide if I want to bury...

I just got this in today. Can't wait to try it out. Donny Boy was showing this in one of his video's and recommended it. This is one tool I'll hardly ever use. But man, it looks good in my tool box. Cable Lug Crimping Tool with 170pcs Copper Wire Lugs and 210pcs Heat Shrinkable Tube, Wire...

Yeah I did. (patting myself on the back) It was the first time I'd mowed the landlords yard. I got in and out of the pond without them even know it. Was afraid if they caught me, they wouldn't even let me fix it. 3 oil changes later, removing the carb bowl, draining the gas tank (luckily...

That time I slid into a pond, on a zrt, The only thing sticking out of the water was the top of the front wheel (the left one). I could've used an outboard to at least get the engine above the carb. I was a nervous wreck, because it was the landlords mower. I was soooooo glad to have the...

I always forget to shut the the water off. Now I have this! It might look alarming but, This is a brand NEW gas head. $40 for the handle and components. When it's full- it shuts off just like at a gas pump. I set it in a U bolt and walk away. No more messy paddock when I forget! EDIT: to...

I mowed the lawn today, and after doing so I sat down and had a cold beer. The day was really quite beautiful, and the drink facilitated some deep thinking. My wife walked by and asked me what I was doing, and I said, "Nothing." The reason I said "nothing" instead of saying "just thinking" is...

Why I Take Deposits On Some Outdoor Power Equipment- Viewer Question Answered

Donny addresses some really good points that some of us have to deal with. Getting stuck with equipment, and not even getting paid for the diagnosis. After getting burned a few times, and left with junk, I started taking upfront money on all new customers. And a few shady repeat customers.

    Boy are some people dumb.

Back when I was trucking, I'd bring loaded trailers home. My first time, I got my trailer stuck because I backed it a little too far into my pasture. Cost me $200 for the wrecker to pull me about 4ft.
