Not all brake clearner will work. CRC in the red can will not work. Have not tried any of the others since I use Gumout carb cleaner.

What color is the pto switch red button or yellow. If Red I would replace it with the new yellow 679534 switch. When you have it off take a look at the terminals in the plug and see if the center tabs in the terminals are broken out.

You did not idfentify the mower type and model no. as that could make a difference as to what the problem is. Hustler, Big Dog, Dixie Chopper all have models that have problems breaking the Hydro mounting brackets causing the problems you are describing. Check the hydro mounting brackets.

Look at the top of the carb where the Idle circuit welch plus are to see if one has come out. A common problem with these carbs.

I have a Magna Matic and it balances horizontal and turn it vertical it will go back to horizontal. Never really though about it but tried it when this post came up. Seems funny but that is the way it works.

Goes in the fuel tank of something has a filter and float for a fuel gauge don't know what kind of tractor it goes on though. Probably for a farm tractor.

Might what to check and see if the head is flat. I take a large piece of artifical granite and emery cloth and lap the head. Use 400 grit emery cloth. You can use a piece of glass it works as well.

It is a 3 amp charging system and not enough to keep battery charge and run electric clutch. You can change it by putting the stator for the 10 regulated system and the 10-16 amp regulator on it.

It says some CH25-26 engines. Those are horizontal shaft engines. Did it also say CVs as well?

The problems will be as you stated the shaft size and the charging system. You can put a sleeve over the crank shaft to make for the correct shaft size. The charging system will need to be probably a 10 amp system...

CV25 with nickasil cylinder liners? Never saw a CV25 with that all I have ever seen have cast iron liners.

I have a special crimping tool to put the cable end on. It is made where you put the end in kinda of a cradle and you smack the crimper with a hammer. really tight crimp.

Had customer bring in a Troy Bilt mower. He had bought a chinese carb that came with the filter. Carb was the wrong one for the engine. Took his cheap chinese filter off you could shake it and the filter element was loose and would rattle around the in the housing. Boy that would do a great job...
