It sounds to me that you are cutting tall grass and weeds. If that is the case, start trimming at the top of the grass and work downward.

A brand new fuel pump can certainly be bad. OEM may cost a little more but it’s a better bet than many aftermarket pumps.

This is a Kawasaki FJ400D in a Kawasaki Mule. The carbon fouling is pretty common in these things. The FJ400D is also used in EZ-GO golf carts and John Deere Gators. The standard jet for the EZ-GO is a #110 for sea level to 3,000’ above sea level. I will definitely need a smaller jet.

I threw the old plug away. The air filter is a new OEM Kawasaki. I plan on ordering the parts shortly.

Right, the #112 is the stock jet. However, the Kawasaki FJ400D engine lists a #110 as the stock jet.

I already have. It hasn’t helped. I currently have Champion RN14YC in it. I thought of putting a BPR2ES in it. The carbon fouling/rich condition seems to be fairly common in these Kawasaki Mule SX KAF400.

This Mule has always run rich and carbon fouls plugs. It’s getting to where it will need rebuilding or replacing. Is there a replacement Walbro carburetor available for this Mule?

The 89 octane would be a minimum requirement. Can you get 89 octane pure gas? If so, mix your own. If you use small quantities, buy the canned stuff.

Kawasaki says that you can run 20w50 oil Yes, not normal for 200 hours. “Bought new in 2015 and has less than 200 hours.” That’s a little over 22 hours a year on average. I wonder if it was broken in correctly? Has been operated at full throttle? It’s out of warranty.

Just exactly how much acreage do you plan on cutting with a zero turn? Your 60 horse power tractor is well suited for cutting large properties. A good finish mower will do an excellent job on grass. It won’t beat you to death. You will stay cleaner with the rear discharge.
